It means so much to know that our residents and their families feel reassured, supported, and happy with the care we provide. A big thank you to our dedicated team, whose compassion and commitment shine through every day.

Today is World Photography Day, a perfect chance to celebrate the special moments and beautiful views that mean so much to us all.

Photography has a wonderful way of capturing memories, emotions and the places we hold close to our hearts.

Here’s one of our favourites of Lincoln Cathedral on a sunny day, showing the beauty of the area in which we’re located.

We can hardly believe it, but it’s been 20 years since Bunkers Hill opened its doors and started supporting and caring for the people of our local communities. The time has flown by and the home has seen quite a few changes over the years. We thought this milestone was worthy of a special celebration…and what better way to mark the 20 years than by having a Black Tie Ball!

A huge thank you to all our staff who made such an effort to get themselves and our lovely residents red carpet ready! Also a big thank you to our wonderful kitchen team for giving us all such a great spread complete with the best cake ever!

But perhaps most of all we should take this opportunity to thank our residents and their families who have helped us help them over the last 20 years. It has not always been easy but it has always been incredibly fulfilling and worthwhile, and an absolute privilege to be able to help those in our community who need it most.

It was a really glamorous event – the pictures speak for themselves, and here’s to the next 20 years of great care and wonderful people!

With temperatures set to reach the high 20s, we’re making sure our residents stay hydrated, cool, and comfortable – while still enjoying the beautiful sunshine safely.

Offering fresh fruit, ice lollies, and gentle reminders to drink regularly

Shaded outdoor areas so residents can enjoy the garden without direct sun

Fans and cool indoor spaces to relax in when it gets too warm

Light clothing, sun hats, and sunscreen to stay protected outdoors

Our team is here to ensure everyone stays safe and well – while still making the most of the sunny days ahead!

Here at Bunkers Hill, we’ll be settling in later to watch the Women’s Euro Final — and we’re proudly rooting for England to bring it home!

It’s been fantastic following the ups and downs of the competition so far, and we’re so impressed by the determination, teamwork, and talent the England ladies have shown on the pitch.

The excitement is building, and our residents are ready to cheer, sing, and support the Lionesses every step of the way. Come on, England!

We’re delighted to introduce Sandra, our new nurse here at Bunkers Hill Care Home.

Sandra was recently given these beautiful flowers by our resident Ken, as a heartfelt thank you for the care and kindness she shows him while on duty.

While we never expect gifts — we do what we do because we care — it’s always touching to see such thoughtful gestures.

With all the sunshine we’ve been enjoying lately, there’s nothing better than a sweet treat to help us cool down!

At Bunkers Hill Care Home, residents and staff alike have been making the most of the warm weather with refreshing ice lollies and ice creams — the perfect way to beat the heat and bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Last week we tried something a little different here at Bunkers Hill Care Home – and it was an absolute hit!

Our residents tucked into delicious fish and chips, all washed down with a glass of Prosecco for that extra bit of Friday sparkle. The atmosphere was full of smiles, chatter, and plenty of happy tummies!

It’s safe to say Fish & Fizz Friday was a real favourite — and we’ll definitely be doing it again soon!
