Making a Mess!….

Another case of our Elf on a Shelf causing havoc around Bunkers Hill, this time taking to one of the bathrooms – vandalising the mirror and using up an unnecessary amount of toilet paper!

A fair warning to anyone to watch out for this troublemaker

Up To No Good!……

Well it seems that our human Elf on a Shelf has picked up a new profession after moving on from the post office. She has somehow made her way into the ranks with the local police!

We sure hope that she can be of use to them and doesn’t cause chaos like she has with us so far!

Elf and Safety……

We are here with the first segment of what our human elf on a shelf has been up to so far! While our elf loves to have fun and spread holiday cheer, she also wants to make sure we stay safe and sound. So, she’s taken it upon herself to be our very own safety elf!🎄

She has helped out with infection control, as well as checked on all the fire extinguishers in the home to ensure they are up to code, a festive and fun-filled way to make sure that our home is prepared for whatever winter may throw our way!

Respecting the fallen….

Every year this week in November sees communities around the country, and the world, join together in the simple act of remembrance. The red poppy has become the symbol of remembering and will be worn by millions of people across the country this week. It reflects on lives lost but also looks forward with hope to a more peaceful future.

Remembrance events have been taking place this week at Bunkers Hill, and we hope you can find time to take a moment to join in and honour the fallen in your own community.

Bunkers Bonfire Night…..

We had a lovely evening on Saturday celebrating Bonfire Night at Bunkers Hill. There were lots of fireworks on display and they were accompanied by a delicious BBQ. Both staff and residents had a very enjoyable evening full of laughs and smiles.

Happy Halloween!….

From everyone here at Bunkers Hill, we wish you all a happy halloween. We hope tonight you are mindful of those that may experience some difficulties over this period, whilst many people would like to enter into the spirit of halloween and enjoy trick or treating this evening, for some people this can be unsettling. Many of them will not be used to unscheduled visits to their door and so Halloween celebrations have, in the past, been a cause of concern.

Although they understand and appreciate the fun of Halloween they prefer not to be called upon by trick or treaters. We would ask that when you enjoy your Halloween fun, you respect any home that has a poster on the front door saying no to trick or treaters.

Have a great evening!

Essential Training at Bunkers Hill….

Staff members took part in a fire training session at the home recently, they were taught how to properly use a fire extinguisher, as well as the proper protocol when in an emergency.

This was very useful for our staff, in order to prepare in case something were to go wrong in the home, as well as being as prepared as we could possibly be for any and all eventuality.

A very valuable lesson for all involved!
