Here at Bunkers Hill, one thing we can always rely on is our kitchen staff producing an excellent spread for our residents. And, that is no different to these cheese and cracker platters they recently dished up!

A personal favourite for our residents, with fruit and vegetables on the side as well as a choice of spreads and dips that come together to form a wonderful and delicious savoury treat.

Here at Bunkers Hill, residents in our Honeysuckle unit enjoyed a delicious valentine’s treat yesterday. There was wonderful cake on offer, accompanied by some beautiful background music and a bit of alcohol-free Prosecco!

It was a wonderful afternoon full of joy and laughter from both residents and staff. We’re now looking forward to planning more events as we’re approaching spring

Everyone here at Bunkers Hill is looking forward to Valentine’s. No doubt there will be some roses and cards coming the way of our residents throughout the day. Of course, for many of our more elderly residents, it can be a day tinged with sadness as they remember loved ones and partners who have passed away.

But we will do our best to make it a happy and fun day for all. We hope you have a great Valentine’s, and show the one you love just how much they mean to you.

From everyone here at Bunkers Hill, happy pancake day! Our residents will all be indulging in some sweet treats today, there will be a wide variety of toppings picked and we are sure that each one will be unique – it is sure to be a delightful day!

With meals being such an important part of the day here at Bunkers Hill, our kitchen team love to create an array of culinary delights for all our residents taste buds, no request is too much and we thought we’d showcase some of the daily favourites, they look amazing.

In addition to the ones pictured, we also create amazing dishes which are in a puree form, catering for all residents’ meal abilities.

The annual gingerbread competition at United Health has now come to a close, and we can announce that we are your winners! Well done to everyone involved in creating our excellent masterpiece.

And a thank you to everyone that got involved by commenting and casting their vote for who they wanted to win – hopefully it was for us!

We thought that we’d avoided any trouble when we managed to stop our Elf on a Shelf from using the phone last week, however it seems that without us noticing, she slipped back to the main desk, got on the phone, and even managed to log into the computer!

When will this chaos end?

Our Elf on a shelf has been up to her mischievous ways once again, this time we found her hiding out in the laundry room of the home. She was sat in one of the dryers, hiding a load of people’s clothes.

If someone knows how to stop this chaos let us know!
