Bunkers Hill Care Home
Here at Bunkers Hill, we have had our EUROs themed snack trolley wheeled around the home today for our residents. Lots of sweet and healthy treats for everyone to indulge in and eat whilst watching the game tonight.
Hopefully the game will be as good as the food!
Some of our residents here at Bunkers Hill have put their predictions in for tonight’s semi-final. As you can see, there is a buzz around the home and everyone is feeling quite confident that the Three Lions will come away with the victory and march into the final on Sunday.

Here at Bunkers Hill, we have been making the most of the good weather recently by getting out and about in our garden. We set up a lovely afternoon tea basking in the sunshine, followed up by refreshing cocktails and a little soak of the feet in our small little pool.
A thoroughly enjoyable day and we hope there are many more this summer!
We get some really great entertainers coming to Bunkers Hill and we were delighted when one of our activities staff’s Dad agreed to come and entertain our residents this past weekend! The song selection and vocals were both brilliant and everyone had a great time listening and singing along.

Our most recent Church Service held at the home was a very enjoyable time. There were lots of hymns for everyone to sing along to, as well as many of everyone’s preferred prayers read out.
A lovely experience which was enjoyed by all.
Safe to say that a lot of our residents here at Bunkers Hill are dog people! Animal therapy is not only great fun but always helpful for mental stimulation and emotional wellbeing, so as 3 gorgeous dogs visited the home all of our residents gave them a cuddle and pet, as you can see they loved the attention!

Lots of fun activities taking place at Bunkers Hill recently, starting off with some in-home exercise routines for everyone to use. We followed an instructional video on how to keep active without having to leave our chairs, perfect for some of our residents who are not as mobile as others.
We also took some time out of the day to create some friendship bracelets, a few of our residents linked them up and then added their own personal touches, whether that was little heart charms or something simple like their initial – a wonderful gesture of appreciation amongst everyone!

Our lovely residents are really in the spirit and enjoying this Easter Weekend. They have been busy preparing decorations for the home for the past week which is now full of everything chocolate, chicks and bunnies!
