Here are some photos taken prior to our afternoon of Mamma Mia themed entertainment at Bunkers Hill, as you can see the garden of the home looks brilliant with its subtle greek elements added on and has transformed it a wonderful party area – ready for the residents to enjoy some excellent food and drinks!
There were many well wishes and positive messages at Bunkers Hill recently as we celebrated our staff member Debbie’s 60th birthday! She was absolutely inundated with cakes, with which she took a different one round to each unit of the home and sang with all the residents, enjoying every aspect of the day as they all joined in – a true testament to the hard work she puts every day with us!
We hope she had a wonderful day!

Our kitchen staff here at Bunkers Hill were thrilled to receive a 5 star rating for food hygiene recently, they take immense pride and care in order to keep hygienic when making the wonderful food that they do for our residents, so to have this recognition and confirmation that there hard work is noticed is a great thing for them – as you can see they are all very pleased with the rating!
Our residents here at Bunkers Hill have been thoroughly enjoying the sunshine and hot weather the past week or so, that has been helped by our wonderful kitchen team cooking up these delicious grazing platters – perfect for snacking on while enjoying the sun.

A couple of our lovely residents at Bunkers Hill had a trip into town recently to bask in the wonderful sunshine we’ve been having – there were refreshing iced coffees and some delicious ice-creams on hand to help keep them cool as they sat outside in town.
It was a lovely morning all round and they are already looking forward to their next trip!
Here at Bunkers Hill our residents are really looking forward to the upcoming coronation of King Charles III. The day before the ceremony we are holding a Coronation Celebration party at the home on Friday 5th May from 11am to 1pm, and everyone is invited. There will be live music, lots of fun and refreshments for everyone to celebrate with.
We hope to see as many of you here as possible for what promises to be a great party!

At Bunkers Hill, our lovely residents have been grooving to the beat and reminiscing about their favourite tunes. With smiles on their faces and laughter in the air, the residents and staff have been enjoying the benefits of music and movement. And the best part? They didn’t even have to leave their chairs!
Seated activities, such as dancing in chairs, are an excellent way for residents to stay active and engaged. Not only does it promote physical movement, but it also stimulates the mind and encourages social interaction. Plus, it’s a fun and accessible activity that can be enjoyed by people of all abilities.
Judging by the enthusiasm of the group, it’s clear that this week’s music and movement session was a hit. The residents are already looking forward to the next one, eager to continue their dance party and create more happy memories together.
Here at Bunkers Hill our lovely resident, Elsie, celebrated her 103rd Birthday this week. She enjoyed a day of celebration with her family and her friends at the home.
There were lots of presents and cards and of course a fab Birthday Cake. Elsie would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made her day so special.
